HADITHS 7

Ali’s (ع) fight for the interpretation of the Quran

Wahab ibn Saifi narrates that the Messenger of Allah (ص) said:

﴿ أَنَا اُقَاتِلُ عَلَی تَنْزِيلِ الْقُرْآنِ، وَعَلِيٌّ يُقَاتِلُ عَلَی تَأْوِيلِ القُرْآنِ ﴾

"I fight over the revelation of the Quran and Ali will fight over the interpretation of the Quran"

Explanation

Below the above-mentioned hadith, one of the contemporaries says: The meaning of revelation of the Quran is to proclaim the revelation which the Prophet fought for and the meaning of interpretation of the Quran is to comprehend it correctly and act upon its principles, which Ali implemented in the battle of Jamal, Siffeen and Nahrawan.
