Worship without the Wilayah of Amir ul-Mu’minin (ع) has no effect

Ali ibn Abi Talib narrates that the Messenger of Allah (ص) said:

﴿ لَوْ أَنَّ عَبْداً عَبَدَ اللهَ مِثْلَ مَا قَامَ نُوحٌ فِي قَوْمِهِ، وَكَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ اُحُدٍ ذَهَباً فَأَنْفَقَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، وَمُدَّ فِي عُمْرِهِ حَتَّی يَحُجَّ أَلْفَ عَامٍ عَلَی قَدَمَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قُتِلَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْـمَرْوَةِ مَظْلُوماً، ثُمَّ لَمْ يُوَالِكَ يَا عَلِيُّ، لَمْ يَشُمَّ‌ رَائِحَةَ الْـجَنّةِ وَلَمْ يَدْخُلْهَا ﴾

"If a servant worships Allah to the extent of the life of Noah (nine-hundred and fifty years) who aspired among his people, and possesses gold as much as the mountain of Uhud and spends them in the way of Allah, and assuming that he lives a long life enough to perform hajj on foot for1,000 years, and then (in the best place) between Safa and Marwah is unjustly killed, but doesn’t accept your Wilayah (guardianship), he will not smell the fragrance of Paradise and will not enter it"
