Messenger of Allah’s (ص) Executor ( وَصِيِّ )

It is narrated from Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ص) said to Abdul Rahman ibn Awf:

﴿ يَا عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ! أَنْتُمْ أَصْحَابِي وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ مِنّي وَأَنَا مِنْ عَلِيٍّ، فَهُوَ بَابُ عِلْمي وَوَصِيِّي، وَهُوَ وَفَاطِمَةُ وَالْـحَسَنُ وَالْـحُسَيْنُ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْأَرْضِ عُنْصُراً وَشَرَفاً وَكَرَماً ﴾

"O Abd al-Rahman! You are from my companions and Ali ibn Abi Talib is from me and I am from Ali. He is the door of my knowledge and my executor. He, Fatimah, Hasan and Husain are the best people on earth in trait, honor and generosity"
