Affection towards Ali (ع)

It is narrated from Salman Farsi that the Messenger of Allah (ص) said:

﴿ مَنْ أَحَبَّ‌ عَلِيّاً فَقَدْ أَحَبَّنِي وَمَنْ أَبْغَضَ عَلِيّاً فَقَدْ أَبْغَضَنِي ﴾

“He who loves Ali has loved me, and he who hates Ali has hated me.”

Suyuti, Al-Jami' as-Saghir, V.2, page 554 narrating from Al-Mustadrak (Hakim Naishapuri, V.3, page 130) (in correct form). And in the same work (V.2, p.680, hadith 2) it is recorded as such: “Whoever curses Ali has cursed me, and whoever curses me has indeed cursed Allah”. From Ahmad in Musnad and Hakim Naishapuri in Al-Mustadrak (in correct form). And in Kunuz al-Haqaiq (Munawi, V.2, p.193) narrating from Tabarani, it is recorded as such: “Your lover is my lover and your enemy is my enemy”. Refer to Muttaqi Hindi, Kanz al-Ummal, V.11, page 601.
