HADITHS 1

Ali (ع) the Chief of Ghadir

Zayd ibn Arqam and a group of Sahaba (Prophet’s companions) have narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:

﴿ مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلَاهُ فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلَاهُ، اَللَّهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ ﴾

"Of whomever I am his master, Ali is also his master. My Lord! Befriend anyone who befriends him and make enmity to anyone who makes enmity towards him."

A group of experts on Sihah and Musnads from Ahl al-Sunnah and their collections on hadiths have narrated in numerous and precise ways, exceeding the boundary of successive transmission that: "When returning from the "Farewell Pilgrimage", the holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) halted at a place called "Ghadir Khum" and delivered a sermon, advising the Muslims to get hold of two precious treasures (i.e., the Book of Allah and the Prophet's household), adding that the two would never be separated from each other until they joined the holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) near the pond of Kauthar. Then, he took hold of Ali's arm and said, "Of whomever I am his master, Ali is also his master….…

The writer's opinion : The hadiths of "Ghadir", "Wilayah", "Saqalain", "Manzilat", "A’imma Ithna-Ashar", "Tair", "Kisa", "Mubahila" and other such hadiths are all among the most famous hadiths with the most authentic chain of transmitters and with abundant channels. They have been narrated by a group of the Prophet's companions and no one is able to find among the narrations any hadith that can be measured with the afore-mentioned hadiths in terms of credibility, successive transmission and fame except very little. Also, recording the entire chain of transmitters and texts of these narrations are incredibly difficult such that there are monographs available for them, and sometimes a few of them make up several volumes which as a token of blessing and good luck, we shall list in the index of this book.
