Certainly, regarding match and associate between the Prophet’s great daughter, who is the leader of all women of the universe, and the Commander of the Faithful, who is the leader of all the ‘Wasi’ (testamentary guardian), it concerns their infallibility, knowledge, insight, lofty moral points, nearness and submission before the Lord, and knowledge of the Divine secrets and Divine Attributes and their match is not in terms of kinship and it’s like.]

Ibn Marduyeh, has narrated from Umm Ayman with transmission that the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said to her on the morning of the wedding of Fatimah (a.s.) and Ali (a.s.): “O Umm Ayman, tell my brother to come.” Umm Ayman said, “Who do you mean?” The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) replied “Ali”. Umm Ayman asked in surprise, “How can Ali be your brother while you have given your daughter’s hand in marriage to him?”

The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said: "This is so. By Allah, I have brought Fatimah into marriage with someone of her match, who is honorable in this world and the other world."
